The school age years are a pretty difficult time. There’s peer pressure and trying to find where you belong as well and the stress and pressure of making good grades. The increased focus on school violence is making even more difficult for kids during this time. Science tells us kids who have a sense of safety and belonging are able to learn better, so why do schools do such a bad job at creating those feelings?
